About this species
Vanda tricolor bears waxy, fragrant flowers spotted in maroon over cream — long prized in Javanese gardens and threatened by over-collection in the wild.
It favours the cool, bright conditions of mountain forest, and is a centrepiece of Cibodas's highland orchid conservation.
